    How to start well:


    First day :

    • Collect a flint and a twig.
    • Build an axe.
    • Chop wood.
    • Collect grass.
    • Continue to explore the map and collect food.
    • Build your first campfire.

    Once launched in the diabolical world of Maxwell, you will need to create an ax as soon as possible. To do this, collect a flint and a twig. The ax will be the first object you will have to craft: it will serve as a rudimentary weapon against monsters but also and above all for chopping wood in order to build your first campfire.



    Once you have the Ax in your possession, go cut some trees and collect some grass. You will need at least four logs to be sure you can keep the fire going all night long. Take the opportunity now to look for new flints, branches and food.

    After dark, build your first campfire. Don't forget to put logs back in the fire when you see the flame go out. During these few minutes of waiting above all, do not go outside the light or you will die. Take the opportunity to heat the food you have collected during this first day: cooked food will give you more "power points".

    Once day breaks, eat a little and then continue exploring the map. A simple trick to kill the rabbits will be to stand opposite to their direction (in front of their burrow), then click once on the rabbit, it will run to enter its burrow but you will normally have the time to strike him and kill him.

    Second day :

    • To eat.
    • Collect flint and twigs.
    • Build a shovel and pickaxe.
    • Harvest rock.
    • Continue to explore the map and collect food.
    • Set up a first camp by building a fire pit after dark.

    The second day reached, you will now need to build a shovel and a pickaxe. The first will be used to uproot shrubs that you can place near your camp: in order to avoid having to go back and forth to find food. The pickaxe on its side will be used to collect rock as well as gold: you can thus build a hearth (fire that can be rekindled each night with a few logs).

    Never forget to take five to ten minutes to harvest food or you will starve. Keep exploring the map until dark to find the perfect spot to set up your long-term camp.

    Third day:


    • To eat.
    • Collect stone and gold.
    • Build a science machine.
    • Collect shrubs to increase his number of research points.
    • Build the armor and weapon blueprints.
    • Build the farm plans and traps.
    • Upgrade his camp and explore the map.

    Once the second night is over, go get some gold. You will now be able to build your first science machine. As said in the previous chapters, the science machine will be used to acquire research points to buy new plans. In order to get research points as quickly as possible, you are advised to uproot shrubs and put them in the machine (between 20 and 30 research points).


    Then find the blueprint: Armor and Weapon. So that you can equip yourself during your explorations. Thereafter you will need to acquire the farm plans, to harvest food on a regular basis. Now all you have to do is continue to expand your camp, find new crafts and above all: have fun!
