    Update 2.2.0 - Patch Notes

    By consulting this section of the Walkthrough Destiny, you will find all the information contained in the Patch Notes. It brings together the changes and additions made to the Light System, to Activities, to Classes, to Arms, to armor, to Objects and Test.

    Light:

    • Legendary and Exotic items you will get from doing activities should have an Attack and Defense level higher than your character's Light
    • These activities and items have been changed to contain 335 Light items:
      • The Seal of Veterans
      • The Schedule of the Weekly Event Featured
      • The Relics of Oryx's Court (Tier 3)
      • The Judgment of Osiris 
      • The Iron Banner
      • Items obtained in the Vanguard "Epic" Strikes playlist 
      • Exotic Engrams
      • The Raid "The Fall of the King" in hard mode
    • These activities and items have been changed to contain 330 Light items:
      • Dark Night Assault of the Week
      • Faction packages
      • Judgment of Osiris Contracts
    • These activities and items have been changed as follows:
      • The maximum Light level of The King's Fall normal mode rewards will be 320
      • The maximum Light level of Prison of Elders level 41 rewards will be 320
      • Maximum Light of Legendary Engrams increased to 310 
      • Maximum Light of rare engrams increased to 310
      • The maximum Light of rare items obtained in the remaining activities is increased to 310
    • The infusion now transfers 100% of the Light from the dismantled object for infusion

    Activities :





    Prison of veterans
    • New ! New Prison of Elders activity: Challenge of the Elders (Recommended Light 320)
      • The Seal of Veterans that allows you to participate is available from Variks
      • New weekly Prison of Elders bounties are also available from Variks
    • New ! Added Level 41 Prison of Elders program (Recommended Light 260)
      • Level 41 Prison of Elders is now available. In this version, you have a chance of running into Corrupted
    • You can now complete Vanguard bounties by defeating enemies in the Prison of Elders 
    • Keys are no longer required to open the large chest in the Prison of Elders
      • Keys can be dismantled from your inventory to gain House of Punishment's esteem
    • Variks inventory has been updated 
      • Flight, Smite, and Identity Titles are no longer required to purchase items 
        • Titles can be dismantled from your inventory to gain House of Punishment's esteem
      • Weapon and armor dies are no longer required to purchase items and can be dismantled from your inventory to gain House of Punishment esteem
    PvE Activities
    • Increased the number of Special Ammo spawns for all PvE activities, to compensate for the magazine reduction for Shotguns and Sniper Rifles.
    Assaults
    • Added the following Assaults: 
      • New ! The "Infected Cup" Assault is now available in the Vanguard Assaults and Vanguard "Epic" Assaults playlists
      • A corrupted version of the Assault "Winter's Pen" is now available in the Vanguard Assaults and Vanguard "Epic" Assaults playlists
    • Reputation gains for completing strikes have been increased
    "Dark Night" Assault of the Week
    • Weekly "Dark Night" Assault Level Increase (Recommended Light 320) 
    • Eververse rewards will no longer replace Dark Night strike rewards, but will be an additional reward when earned
    The Fall of the King
    • Increased the drop rate of weapons and armor in the King's Fall Raid on normal and hard difficulty
    Patrols
    • Reputation gains for completing patrol missions have been increased

    Classes :



    General
    • Player revive mechanics have been adjusted:
      • Reduced the draw distance of the revive option on the Specter by 0,5m (from 2m to 1m)
      • Increased base revive time by 0,25 seconds
      • Changed overshield to take precision damage modifiers into consideration (wasn't before) 
      • Reduced Exotic Armor revive time bonus (Crest of Alpha Lupi, Light Beyond Adversity) to 30% (was 40%)
      • Adjusted revive invincibility time to make it more consistent when a player can move and take damage
    • Players can now target a player's Specter (by pressing the right stick), which allows an interaction to be inspected and directed towards a deceased player's Specter
    Night Watch Hunters
    • Fixed an issue that caused Shadow Step to be interrupted when summoning the Specter 
      Arcanists Abyssal Path
    • Melee: Drain Energy
      • Grenade cooldown bonus increased by 100%
      • Reduced grenade cooldown by 3 seconds (from 5 seconds to 2 seconds)
      • Reduced grenade cooldown bonus of end of board buffs (e.g. Greed) by 4 seconds (from 6 seconds to 2 seconds)
      • Life Harvest: If you damage an enemy with Energy Drain, it temporarily increases your movement speed, as well as your weapon speed
      • Soul Harvest: Now triggers when an enemy takes damage from Energy Drain
    • Passive Skills
      • Lure of the Abyss: Now triggers Energy Drain and restores a large portion of your health points, if you kill an enemy
      Sun Song
    • Melee: Burn
      • Ember Shield: Now reduces Burn cooldown by 33% 
      • Ember Shield: No longer keeps player armor maxed for its duration
      • Ember Shield: 1 Armor point removed
      • Solar Wind: Now reduces Burn cooldown by 66%
      • Solar Wind: 1 point of Recovery has been added
      • Brimstone: Now reduces Burn cooldown by 66%
      • Brimstone: 86% increased explosion damage
    • Super : Radiance
      • Increased grenade energy regeneration from 1 to 3 grenades (depending on discipline)
      • Song of Flames: Allied player grenade regeneration speed increased by 60%
      • Fiery Rebirth: Reduced the duration of the Radiance effect by 28% when Fiery Rebirth is activated
    • Passive Skills
      • Sunbeam: Kills now necessarily spawn orbs of Light
      Rite of the Storm
    • Melee: Thunderclap
      • Growing Storm: Automatically generates some Super, Melee, and Grenade energy (instead of giving bonus regeneration based on Intelligence, Discipline, and Strength over time)
    • Super: Storm Trance
      • Flashpoint: 17% damage reduction
      • Flashpoint: No longer blinds nearby players
    • Passive Skills
      • Pulse Wave: 1 point of Recovery has been added
      • Feedback: 1 Armor point removed
      • Transcendence: Storm Trance duration bonus reduced by 17%
      • Transcendence: No longer removes the cost of actively casting cryo bolts
      • Electrostatic Spirit: 100% increased damage to nearby enemies when Storm Trance is activated
      • Electrostatic Spirit: Reduced nearby allies' Super cooldown bonus by 25%

    Weapons:



    Automatic Rifles
    • Increased slow fire auto rifle damage per bullet by 2,3% (SUROS Reign, Expected Mod, Drystan's Anguish)
    • Reduced bullet damage by 2,3% from rapid fire auto rifles (Doctrine of Passage, Arminius-D)
    • Improved accuracy of firing without aiming
      Pulse Rifles
    • Increased damage per bullet of Slow Fire Fusion Rifles by 3% (The Messenger, Linnunrata, Lyudmila-D)
      Revolvers
    • Increased ammo available for revolvers
    • Adjusted revolver ammo stat so starting ammo and ammo after a revive match 
      Shotguns
    • Reduced total ammo inventory for all shotguns from 5 shots to 7 shots (exact amount depends on weapon's magazine stats)

      Sniper rifles
    • Reduced total ammo inventory for all sniper rifles from 5 shots to 7 shots (exact amount depends on weapon's magazine stats)
    • See the Crucible section for more details
    • Increased base zoom distance of short range scopes
    • Medium and long range scopes are not modified
    • Added a 2 frame delay when switching from aimless mode to zoom mode
    • Reduced the Snapshot buff which now improves dwell time in zoom mode by 20% (down from 30%)
    • Reduced stability for all sniper rifles; aiming at a target again after firing will require more effort
    • Fulfillment: Removed this buff for Rare and Uncommon Sniper Rifles 
      Fusion Rifles
    • Increased base stability (recoil reduced by 40%), impacting low stability fusion rifles more than high stability fusion rifles
    • Fixed an issue that increased the zoom of some fusion rifle sights despite having disabled this feature in Year 2 
      Guns
    • Fixed an issue that caused special weapon ammo to persist after death when switching special weapons
    Machine guns
    • Fixed an issue that allowed players to get an extra magazine for their machine gun from ammo crates
    • Reduced total ammo inventory for all machine guns (exact amount depends on weapon's magazine and rate stats)
      Swords
    • Fixed an issue that caused the hilt of swords to not properly block certain damage
    • Fixed an issue that caused the damage element to disappear from the swords screen after summoning the Specter
    • Improved sword special attack damage network
      Legendary and Exotic Weapons All primary weapons in King's Fall
    • Increases reload speed of King's Downfall main weapons
      Drystan's Anguish
    • Increased base stability by 12%

    • Fixed an issue that prevented the Angle Damper and Close Combat Ballistics cannons from being upgraded correctly
    • Increased base scope zoom distance in line with general scope changes
      Scrap Pledge
    • Projectiles track their target when you lock enemies into your crosshairs This works like the Rocket Launcher Guidance upgrade with a faster acquisition time, but no sound cue
    • Increased bullet guiding power 
    • Reduced rate of fire to compensate for guidance
    • Reduced damage by 40% to compensate for guidance
    • Reduced the distance from which damage dealt decays to be consistent with the range of other guns
      Häkke sniper rifle
    • Replaced Plenitude buff with Performance Bonus buff for Häkke Legendary Sniper Rifles
      The Black Raptor
    • Fixed an issue that caused Russian Roulette to appear twice in the tooltip
    • Increased base stability by 10%
      Henceforth
    • Increased base scope zoom distance in line with general scope changes
      Icebreaker
    • Increased scope zoom to 6x
    • Reduced base handling stat to lowest value for sniper rifles
    • Reduced base target acquisition by 25%
    • Fixed an issue that caused special weapon ammo to persist after death when switching special weapons
      Last words
    • Removed the damage bonus from the Last Words buff.
      Lord of Wolves
    • Reduced ammo available in line with other shotguns
      MIDA multi-tool
    • Removed high caliber ammo from initial config.
      Omolon Sniper Rifle
    • Replaced Wholeness perk with Marathoner perk for Legendary Omolon Sniper Rifles.

     

    Stoic
    • Increased base scope zoom distance in line with general scope changes
      Forsworn Arc
    • Reduced ammo available in line with other sniper rifles
      Qullim Stop
    • Reduced base ammo inventory by 15 points
    • Reduced base stability by 9 points
      Perforeur
    • Increased base scope zoom distance in line with general scope changes
      The Reign of SUROS
    • Increased the range stat of the All on Same Target buff up to 45 points
    • Cycle Inferno buff now activates 4 shots later
      Télesto
    • Fixed an issue that caused projectiles to not attach or explode properly when hitting the Dawn Bulwark
    • Projectiles attach and explode correctly on your allies, but do not deal damage to them
      Governess
    • Fixed an issue that limited precision damage
    • Precision damage is now correct when The Itinerant buff is active
      Thistle
    • Reduced damage over time in PvP to 4 pulses (down from 6)
    • Reduced damage over time per pulse by 50% in PvP
    • Reduced the intensity of poison effects on screen so the victim can continue to fight effectively 
      Exegesis of the Vex
    • Reduced base damage by 13% to compensate for improved stability
      eagle view
    • Reduced ammo available
      improvements
    • Eye of the Storm: Improved the reticle, so players can see the reticle of the non-aim mode twitch when the buff activates
    • Icarus: Reduced inaccuracy while airborne (reduced by 75%, down from 66%) when buff is enabled
    • Aggressive Ballistics: Stability reduced by 20 (down from 10)
    • First Curse: Fixed an exploit that allowed the buff to remain activated indefinitely when refilling the magazine with Sealed Ahamkara Fists
    • Backup Magazine: Fixed an issue that allowed the buff to activate while the weapon was holstered. The buff only activates when the weapon is in use
    • Fixed an issue where some weapon buffs based on kill count would not properly extend or deactivate in the Crucible

    Armours:

    General
    • The following Year 1 exotic armors have been carried over to Year 2:
      • Electric fence ACD/0
      • La Serre
      • Eternal Warrior
      • Khepri's Stinger
      • Lucky Rapier
      • ARACHNID ATS/8
      • Solar Gauntlets
      • Bure of the Purifier
      Legendary and Exotic Armor
    • Increased the guidance effect of scatter grenades when using the Handcuffs of Nonbeing 
    • Reduced Golden Pistol uptime penalty for Water-eating Symbiote
    • Reduced the ammo bonus granted by the armor upgrade "Ammunition: Machine Guns" by 33%.
     

    The Trial:

    General
    • The following changes have been made to decrease the number of kills related to heavy weapons and special weapons. We will continue to monitor their usage in PvE and PvP.
      • Players how to part with special ammunition.
      • Switching special weapons during Crucible matches no longer transfers special ammo between weapons.
      • Ammo spawn conditions have been changed for all modes except Elimination and Mayhem: 
        • Special ammo spawns after 3 minutes, then every 2 minutes thereafter (each crate has its own counter)
        • Heavy ammo spawns after 5 minutes, once per match
      • Reduced total ammo inventory for all sniper rifles from 5 shots to 7 shots (exact amount depends on weapon's magazine stats)
      • Reduced total ammo inventory for all shotguns from 5 shots to 7 shots (exact amount depends on weapon's magazine stats)
      • Reduced ammo obtained from heavy ammo bricks in the Crucible (0,375 from inventory down from 0,5)
        • This change impacts all machine guns and a number of rocket launchers (including Vérité).
      • Reduced the ammo inventory bonus granted by the armor upgrade "Ammo: Machine Guns" by 33%
      • Increased the number of Special Ammo spawns for all PvE activities, to compensate for the magazine reduction for Shotguns and Sniper Rifles
    • Kills scored with a Sparrow, Pike, or Hound will now be counted separately, and no longer under the general “Kills (Vehicle)” stat.
    • The Decimation medal is now obtained by eliminating the opposing team in less than 20 seconds
    • Added Year 1 shaders to the list of possible rewards for completing Crucible matches 
    • Increased chance of getting legendary items from completing Crucible matches
    • Increased reputation gains from completing Crucible matches
      Quests and Contracts
    • Fixed an issue where the quest "The Quiver of the Abyss" could be completed outside of the Trial 
    • Fixed an issue that prevented score-based quests and bounties from updating after completing Crucible matches
    • The Trial "Triple Judgment" bounty will no longer be visible to players below level 40, as they do not have access to Trials of Osiris
      Modes   Domination
    • Arenas added: Asylum, Fort of Delphi, Anomaly, Burning Temple, and Cauldron
    • Arenas Removed: Bastion, Daybreak, and Cosmic Collapse
    Elimination
    • Revive countdown starts at 7 seconds and is increased by 7 seconds each time a player is revived
    Infernal – Carnage
    • Reduced score needed to win to 1500 points (was 2000 points)
    Mayhem – Carnage
    • Reduced score needed to win to 25 points (was 000 points)
    • Fixed an issue that caused the tooltip to display an incorrect required squad size
      Iron Banner
    • Items in ranks 3 and 5 of Master Saladin's inventory have been updated and some upgrades have been changed for some of them
    • Rank reward packages have been adjusted:
      • Rank 3 rewards package contains a 320 Light relic
      • Rank 5 rewards package contains a 320 Light Specter Shell
      • Rank 5 reward packages can drop current event items 
    • Iron Banner weapons and armor can be obtained regardless of your rank
    • Removed Legendary Engrams from the list of potential endgame rewards, increasing the chance of more Iron Banner items
    • The Iron Domination contract can be completed with a score of 1500 points in a won game instead of 2500 points
    • The Iron Versatility job can now be completed with 7 heavy weapon kills
    • Fixed an issue that allowed players below Rank 5 to attempt to receive a reward that was inaccessible to them, preventing them from receiving a reward
    • Fixed a display issue with part of the Iron Banner ship
      Judgment of Osiris
    • Fixed an issue that caused weapons in the Lighthouse chest to not display the level required to use it (i.e. level 40)
    • The "His Eye on You" contract can now be completed every day with greater ease:
      • Reduced number of completed games needed to 7 from 10
      • Reduced required number of squad kills to 50 kills (down from 75 kills)

     

    Dusk Cathedral Arena
    • Adjusted the spawn position of the Spark to bring it closer to the front line and reduced the spawn rate at the back of the arena
    Crossroads
    • Fixed an issue that caused some players to get stuck outside the arena after falling behind the area B capture point
    • Fixed an exploit that allowed players to hide outside of map boundaries.
    Border
    • Fixed an issue that caused some players to get stuck in cement bags near the Area B capture point
    • Fixed an exploit that allowed players to reach an unwanted vantage point
    Memento
    • Adjusted spark spawn position for better game balance
      The pantheon
    • Adjusted the spawn position of the Spark to bring it closer to the front line and reduced the spawn rate at the back of the arena

    Objects :

    General
    • An additional chest page has been added to all accounts, allowing storage of 108 weapons, 108 armor and 72 items in the section dedicated to general type items
    • A preview of the surprise bags is available before using them allowing to see a list of all the potential contents
    • Year 1 ships have been added to Vanguard and Crucible Reputation packages
    • Reputation boosters have been added to Vanguard, Crucible, and House of Punishment Reputation packages
    • Abandoned quests kiosk has been added to the Reef
    • 12 new Eververse interactions have been added to the Spring 2016 collection (northern hemisphere)
    • Winter Interactions have been moved to the Winter 2015 Interaction surprise pack
    • Fixed an issue that prevented previewing the Specter Shell "Madder Shell"
    • Fixed an issue that prevented previewing Specter Shells from Raids
    • Fixed an issue that prevented the decryption of classic special weapon engrams [Revised 13/04/2016]
    Remarkable treasures
    • Players will be able to receive up to 3 Notable Treasures per account by performing the following actions after the weekly reset:
      • Log in with a character in the game
      • Complete Level 41 Prison of Elders
      • Complete a portion of the weekly Crucible Highlights schedule
    • Items inside:
      • Taken-themed gear (cosmetic)
      • Chrome materials
      • Esteem boosters
    Chroma
    • The Chroma feature allows players to customize the illumination of certain objects (red, white, blue or yellow)
    • The Chroma function can be activated for the following armors:
      • “Spektar” armor, available in Notable Treasures
      • The following specialty armor items are available from Vanguard and Crucible Reputation packages:
        • "Pandion Spektar" Top Gear for Titans
        • “Aspriet Spektar” Superior Gear for Hunters
        • Warlock "Haliaetus Spektar" Superior Gear
      • The following specialized armor is available from faction esteem packages:
        • Dead Orbit "Spektar Heliopause" Equipment
        • Future War Cult "Spektar Infinite Lines" gear
        • New Monarchy "Kallipolis Spektar" Gear
    • Chroma can be applied to the following weapons:
      • These Fallen weapons can be obtained from House of Punishment esteem packages:
