The Contract Content Update has just been released for GTA 5 Online, introducing a whole new collection of new vehicles, jobs, properties and, of course, weapons to the game.
You can stock your arsenal with new guns, including the Taser-esque stun gun, as well as the Compact EMP launcher. This is similar to the Compact Grenade Launcher, but fires EMP Grenades that temporarily disable vehicles. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to achieve both.
How to Get the Stun Gun and EMP Compact Launcher in GTA 5 Online
Start DLC Contract
Before any of these new weapons can be purchased, you will need to start The Contracts DLC. Make sure you've downloaded the new 4GB patch in-game, then go to a lobby to get started. If you have already started The Contract DLC, you can skip to the next subtitle.
To start this DLC, open your smartphone in-game and open the browser app. Navigate to the Dynasty8 Real Estate website and tap on the Dynasty8 Executive option. On this page, you will need to select one of the agency properties available for purchase, which will cost you at least $2. This will officially launch The Contract DLC.
Buy Armory and Weapons
You haven't finished spending yet. Also on the Dynasty8 Executive mobile site, head to the optional extras section of the page, where you can purchase upgrades for your agency. Here you will need to deposit $720 on an armory for your agency, so do that and then head to your new armory.
Inside the Armory, speak to the Requisitions Officer to begin your shopping spree. Combined, these two weapons will cost more than the gunsmith, but the fun you can have with them is worth it. Under 'Guns', you can find the stun gun, which will cost you $326.
The Compact EMP launcher, despite its small size, can be found in the "Heavy Weapons" section of the store. This beast is a bit more expensive than the stun gun, costing $456. It's not exactly pocket money, but if you have money to spend on an agency and armory, you should have no trouble getting that money back.
