How to unlock John

Jean โ€“ Genshin Impact

Jean is a fighter that can only be had by invoking characters via wishes. She's a 5 โ˜… character, so she's very hard to get. While it remains permanently on the permanent banner, its presence is not guaranteed on each character's temporary banner, so remember to check before doing anything if you absolutely want it.

At the time when his lines are written, there is a 0.6% chance of getting a 5 star character. However, after 90 draws on the same banner without having had 5 stars, there is a guarantee, that of having a 5 โ˜… character. Good luck !

How to play John

A fighting support

Jean โ€“ Genshin Impact

Like Barbara, Jean has the ability to heal. But unlike her little sister, she remains a hand-to-hand combatant. Better, its healing depends on its attack which makes it a perfect candidate to be a DPS-Heal hybrid. We don't recommend her as the main fighter since she's much more useful when the rest of the team is down. In number 1, of course you keep your DPS but you lose part of your healing potential.

She can heal with her Dandelion Breeze, but she doesn't necessarily need an ability to heal the team. Indeed, each normal hit has a 50% chance to restore a number equivalent to 15% of John's attack stat to your characters. With a high stat, you can therefore quickly heal your team while tanking thanks to the regen, while doing damage and without having to wait to have enough energy.

She comes out all the more in difficult situations against small enemies thanks to her crowd control. Its charged attack knocks enemies up in the air while Whirlwind Sword and Dandelion Breeze can knock them back, helping to temporize when needed while the rest of the team recovers from its heals. We therefore recommend that you favor sets and artefacts that increase its attack.

Make others shine

Jean โ€“ Genshin Impact

The moment Jean shines brightest is when she casts her ultimate Dandelion Breeze. In addition to being devastating and providing significant immediate and continuous healing, it allows characters in the area to benefit from the Anemo element which spreads elemental reactions and increases elemental damage. Casting Dandelion Breeze is therefore the perfect time to take out the best skills from your DPS to do maximum damage to enemies.

In dungeons or the Spiraling Depths, John is bound to be useful for several reasons. Without being able to use food, it allows you to have healing without sacrificing its damage to finish as quickly as possible. And with her Whirlwind Sword, she can also get rid of certain enemies faster by simply throwing them into the void. The second level of his constellation is also welcome since it increases the attack speed of the team by 15%.

In multiplayer, Jean will also always be welcome since she can participate in DPS, continuously heal and even apply the Anemo element to her allies who are in the area of โ€‹โ€‹her Dandelion Breeze. And if this already allows for an excellent solo burst if you find a good combo with your different characters, imagine the potential for four if you coordinate well. And inevitably, it's more pleasant to be the healer of the group if you have a DPS gameplay.

Useful in combat, exploration and even cooking!

Jean โ€“ Genshin Impact

In exploration, Jean is especially interesting if it is used with another Anemo character. Indeed, it allows you to lower stamina consumption by 15% and increase movement speed by 10%. Being able to run faster for longer is therefore a bonus that cannot be refused when traveling through the vast world of Genshin Impact. Its automatic healing also allows you to quickly recover health on small monsters encountered on the map.

And another point in common with her little sister, she brings a bonus when cooking. Indeed, when she prepares a dish intended to heal, she has a 12% chance of getting two. But that's not all because if she makes a mushroom pizza, she also has a chance of getting an invigorating pizza instead.
