Thus, after lowering the sea level, you will have access to new places, and of course new puzzles like that of the broken islands which is not that easy to solve.
So here is a step-by-step guide that gives you the solution for this riddle that starts with mysterious pillars on the beach and stones in the sand. How do I solve them and get the chests? Is there an order? We tell you everything.

Broken Islands Pillars Puzzle Solution
First stage
Once you have retrieved Klee's toy after the cutscene, go to the location shown below. Destroy the wall with the mini-game and enter the cave. Defeat the monsters then once inside look at the drawing on the wall (take a photo if necessary). This drawing actually points to specific locations on the Broken Isles. It will be necessary to go there and adjust the level of the water points always according to the drawing. Here's how.
North West
Head to the island to the northwest and find the waterhole. Then use the stones to adjust the water so that the level in the middle as the second slice.
South West
At the location indicated to the southwest, start by destroying the water stone to fill the basin and adjust the water level to the highest.
Centre
Teleport to the device and drop the water level to the lowest.
South East
Head southeast to adjust the water level to the middle on the second installment. Take the clover behind you using an Anemo character in order to move on to the last location.
Northeast
Land on top of the island and destroy the rocks to let the water drain out. Then adjust the level to the lowest.
Last step
Teleport back to the device and reach the beach in the center of the island where the pillars and stones are. Enable these in the following order starting from the screenshot above
