Indeed, each tarantula is worth 8 bells each. By repeating this operation several times, you can therefore repay several loans from Tom Nook. Some prerequisites before going hunting

As we write this guide, we are in April, the last month for tarantulas to appear. So take advantage of it before the end of the month to put this technique into practice. Do not go hunting before 19 hours, because it is the start time of the appearance of the tarantulas! Before leaving for a mystery island, you will need to bring the necessary equipment to walk on the island: namely ladder, pole and net at least. We advise you to take at least two shovels and two axes.

Then buy your ticket at the Nook Stop and empty your bag. Keep only the instruments we have mentioned. It is also strongly recommended to have sufficiently enlarged your pockets beforehand in order to ensure that you bring as many tarantulas as possible.

How to catch tarantulas?

Once you have arrived on your mystery island, first make sure that there are many insects on this island. If so, then begin to uproot everything. There must be nothing left: flowers, stones, trees, everything must be removed. Once your pockets are full, go to a corner of the island, and drop everything. You can also run over the flowers to prevent insects from lodging there. Repeat the operation until the island is completely shaved.

Once there is nothing left on the island, some bugs will start to spawn on a loop. To make the tarantulas appear, hunt other insects of the island by running after them or by capturing them (like the water bugs which do not leave for example). Once the tarantulas appear, be patient. Armed with your net, move slowly towards the tarantula until it raises its legs and stop. Once you're close enough, grab it.

Your net may break during the hunt, but don't worry. You can always buy a rudimentary net from the Rodrigue dodo on the island, and improve it using the resources found there. Avoid breaking the stones right away using a fruit, because you can first collect the iron nuggets to help you craft a net on the spot.

Wait for Djason to come

Finally, we advise you to wait for Djason to come to your island to sell your tarantulas and maximize your earnings. It's a character that randomly visits your island once a week and it's a particularly important trick to earn a lot more bells.

It's simple, know that he will take back your insects 1,5 times more expensive than Méli and Mélo, so the wait may be worth it. If you've ever captured a whole bunch of tarantulas, for example, store them or put them aside and only resell them when Djason is around.
